Project Development Associate

OCI Solar Power is a respected project developer and owner-operator of solar power projects. We are seeking an experienced Project Development Associate to provide support for a growing organization in a fast paced environment. JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision by the Senior Project Development Engineer, the Project Development Associate provides support for the project development team to assist in the development of solar projects and supplementary initiatives. This position will assist with coordination of numerous project development activities, including research & analysis, technical, and business related responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 
  Coordinate diligence and analysis of proposed sites including wetland, soil, structural analysis, etc.
• 
  Conduct site identification using software and third-party tools/maps to identify, analyze, and summarize locations for solar projects, and work on outreach efforts with land owners.
• 
  Perform market analysis and assessment of legislation and proposed programs in new markets, providing summaries for the project development and executive leaders.
• 
  Work with the utilities to submit interconnection applications, analyze and process interconnection applications, and obtain updates on interconnection status.
• 
  Manage requests and submissions for project incentives and eligibility into various applicable programs.
• 
  Manage Project Development external inquiries coming through website, social media and telephone.
• 
  Coordinate with third party vendors for external and internal marketing.
• 
  Assist with local and state officials to understand project requirements and coordinate with OCI Solar Power’s engineering team for design considerations.
• 
  Design conceptual solar renderings for the business development team.
• 
  Perform financial analysis of proposed solutions for prospects and customers in various markets.
• 
  Provide oversight and support to our ongoing projects as needed.
• 
  Provide support during project contract review.
• 
  Conduct market research and provides information for project financial valuations
• 
  Performs ad hoc analysis and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 
  One (1) to Three (3) years of experience is required; Preferably in renewable/solar power sector
• 
  Exceptional technical writing skills for customers and other external viewers
• 
  Excellent ability to create rapport with clients and stakeholders in a business environment
• 
  Organized and efficient and capable of setting priorities in a busy environment
• 
  Ability to work independently and manage vendor relationships
• 
  Good team player and ability to work in a growing team environment
• 
  Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem resolution skills
• 
  Self-starter with effective interpersonal and communication skills
• 
  Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects
• 
  Travel required, up to 25%
