Working directly with our well known and respected client, we are a specialist marketing firm who are now looking for our next Events Assistant to join our expanding team.


The Assistant Event Coordinator will be responsible to:


  • To respond to specific tasks, as appropriate within your team and independently on occasion
  • Act as internal liaison between the customer and the client through the sales process
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues
  • Planning event details and aspects
  • Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time
  • Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
  • Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events
  • Ensure smooth-running of the sales process
  • Constantly striving to improve cost-effectiveness and customer service
  • As experience is gained, liaise with customers and ensure their requests are dealt with efficiently
  • To produce detailed and accurate reports of your sales
  • To report weekly (or earlier as appropriate) to Managing Director on the progress of work
  • Develop remarkable customer service skills to match the company's standards


Requirements:


  • Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills
  • BA Degree in related field
  • Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude
