Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the literature, disease state, competitive landscape and therapeutic management of the category
- Support implementation of the medical marketing plan focusing on rheumatologists and nurses
- Prioritize, develop, and implement peer-to-peer promotional and disease education tactics that help drive the brand strategy
- Help manage the rheumatology and nurse speaker bureaus, ensuring the bureaus are appropriately sized and speakers are trained annually
- Develop and nurture relationships with the professional societies focused on serving rheumatologists and nurses
- Help identify KOLs, as well as assist in developing and executing the external thought leader engagement plan
- Conduct rheumatology and nurse advisory board meetings on behalf of the cross-functional team, bringing actionable insights back to the team
- Leverage business insights and expert feedback to provide input into the development and review of the annual brand plan
- Effectively and consistently execute multiple, simultaneous projects and manage resources to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and answer business objectives
- Manage external partners to ensure integration and consistency of strategies, messages, and tactics
- Collaborate and provide clear strategic direction from a medical marketing perspective to brand colleagues who work with key accounts and/or who are working on sales force tools, sales training materials, in-office or point-of-care patient education materials
- Measure impact, report results, and adjust plans accordingly for tactical initiatives
- Manage the budget for the rheumatology medical marketing team
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in marketing/sales preferably in the healthcare pharmaceutical industry
- Experience collaborating with external rheumatology experts and professional medical associations
- Medical marketing/peer-to-peer marketing experience preferred
- Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors
- Must have strong planning, project management, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to solicit feedback and provide clear direction is essential
- Flexibility to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment with multiple demands with initiative and independence required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
