Job Description


The Admissions Counselor is responsible for contributing to the overall recruitment efforts of the College and planning and implementing procedures and programs for attracting and matriculating a diverse and talented new-student class. The Counselor travels at least four-to-six weeks in the fall term and spring travel as determined by the Senior Associate.


Requirements


A bachelor's degree is required with a masters preferred. Direct admission experience is preferable. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a higher education environment and/or the secondary counseling level; familiarity with selective liberal arts colleges and non-profit organizations; exemplary oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to work independently and with a team as well as with various constituencies; must be able to travel, evening and weekend hours, and a valid driver's license are required. Requires excellent functional skills including knowledge of and facility with a variety of desktop computer programs. Knowledge of or experience with Slate is preferred.
