Are you an analytical thinker with an interest in the healthcare industry? Doherty Top Talent is partnering with a health care company for an opportunity at their Ramsey, MN office location. We're seeking candidates for a Patient Account Representative role to work on 1st shift. This role will have a unique schedule, working 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Wednesday with one evening until 7:00pm; 8:00am-4:30pm, Thursday; 8:00am-4:00pm, Friday. The Patient Account Representative will be a fully remote or work-from-home opportunity after completing 2 weeks of on-site training. Compensation for this temp-to-hire job is $15.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on skills & experience.
What a Patient Account Representative will do:
- Contact patients regarding outstanding balances
- Establish payment plans to help patients manage payment of bills
- Send delinquent accounts to collection agencies
- Train appropriate personnel on the computerized billing system
- Respond to patient billing & statement inquiries
- Make recommendations to management for write-offs
What it takes to become a Patient Account Representative:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior healthcare customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Basic math and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
- Analytical thinking skills
- Must be local to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Area or within driveable distance for 2 week onsite training
