Background & Purpose of the Job

As an Associate DRP Manager, you will be responsible for inventory deployment, transshipments, and deployment network design to ensure our products are at the right place at the right time. This role is supporting the Ice Cream network. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the regional MSTN/ESTN exception based planning process and driving continuous improvement. You will conduct root cause analysis for transship and expedite losses and develop action plans through system and/or process improvement. You will also oversee a transship and expedite budget and take service and cost tradeoffs accordingly. You will drive system utilization and push forward the agenda of distribution planning in Rapid Response. As part of the iOps team, you will bring expertise, focus, and operational excellence to the deployment process and share your insights. As a more experienced planner, you will support training and development activities for your team.

What You’ll Do

  • Be part of a high performing team with strong communication skills, operational excellence, and drive for continuous improvement
  • Lead across peers by setting best practice, providing mentorship and cross training support, and leading continuous improvement efforts
  • Operate with an understanding of how deployment impacts the rest of the supply chain and encourage communication within and outside of your team
  • Lead optimized deployment plan through collaboration with logistics and planning using digital tools (RapidResponse, Aera, Pega, etc.)
  • Drive the transformation of the current manual distribution planning for Ice Cream to system driven DRP planning utilizing RR
  • Lead consistent loss tree root cause analysis and action drivers for service cuts & transships by working with customer service, demand, and supply planning
  • Use loss tree insights to influence improvements to digital tools and/or processes
  • Operationalize the MSTN and ESTN KPIs and exception-based planning
  • Ensure lead times for deployment in the system are maintained and accurate
  • Ensure safety stock settings are dynamically adjusted for finished goods
  • Enable technologies, such as Aera, Kinaxis and Pega to:
    • Balance the network
    • Dynamically deploy inventory based on changes in the DCs (including allocation plan vs actual)
  • Define & implement prioritization logic for deployment and unloading based on customer needs, profitability, and projected DC inventory levels
  • Optimize deployment network design by determining inventory holding points, safety stock levels and system enablers
  • Determine network optimization opportunities by overlaying customer networks with our network and defines opportunities for the future together with customer supply chain.  Collaborate with the central network and infrastructure team on scenario planning for the future.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations / Supply Chain or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Planning, Manufacturing and/or Procurement
  • Empowerment, Experimentation and Collaboration a must
  • Holding people accountable, developing self and others, breakthrough thinking, optimizing Supply Chain integrated performance, strategic vision and influencing
  • Strong relationship management and team leadership both internally and externally
