Traveling Dietician needed outside of Phoenix
We are seeking a Dietitian with recent experience planning regular and modified diets in a health care facility.

REQUIREMENTS
- Two years of clinical nutrition work experience with specific emphasis on providing medical nutrition therapy targeting chronic diseases and nutrition education throughout the life cycle
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university
- Completed a Didactic Program in Dietetics Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Current registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Provides MNT for inpatients and outpatients. MNT includes performing assessments, creating nutrition care planning, counseling and education, and administration of special therapies providing individualized guidance on food selection and meal preparation for disease management and prevention of complications, and follow-up as needed.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in nutrition, overseeing the medical nutrition therapy of the complex and high-risk patients.
- Provides in-service education and/or training, education programs to nursing staff, medical staff, students, healthcare personnel and the general public, as needed.
- Modifies patient profiles, in accordance with nutritional need, food intolerances and food preferences.
- Participates as a member of the medical team at interdisciplinary care conferences to develop and/or update a patient care plan.
- Provides MNT for adults and/or family members referred by a physician for outpatient services.
- Performs regular food service department quality assurance checks.
- Provides nutrition-related presentations/information for the community.
- Provides in- service education for Food Service personnel.
- Prepares reports and provides other documents needed to maintain accreditation with regulatory agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned
ABOUT THE FACILITY
This new 179,000 square-foot facility serves approximately 12,985 American Indians residing in the San Carlos Service Unit, which includes portions of the Arizona counties of Cochise, Gila, Graham, and Greenlee. This rural hospital includes eight low-risk nursing care beds and a two-bed, low-risk birthing unit. Additional new services provided will include physical therapy, telemedicine, podiatry, ultrasound, ambulatory procedures, CT, and mammography.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $1,900.00 - $2,300.00 per week
