Description
Sandpipers of Nevada is seeking an experienced and energized coach to work with a Senior Level training group. We are looking for a Coach who works well with others, is passionate about swimming and a career in coaching, with strong communication and customer service skills, and who is dedicated to developing each athlete into successful swimmers.
Qualifications
Must have a knowledge of competitive swimming and be willing to communicate well with other coaches, parents, and swimmers. Will need to have or obtain a USA swimming Coaches certification which includes Athlete Protection Training, CPR/Safety Training Course, USA Swimming Background check, and Foundations of Coaching Course/test.
Experience creating and executing season plans, long term athlete development, and modern training techniques is preferred.
Hours & Location
The Sandpipers are looking for a start date of September 1, 2022. The position will require 6-8 workouts per week, plus applicable dryland sessions, totaling in approximately 20 hours of direct coaching, per week. Practices will be held between 5-7am and 4-8pm plus Saturday morning, all held in a rotation of facilities in the west side of the Las Vegas valley.
Additional regular admin duties, staff meetings, and education opportunities are associated with this position. Weekend competitions will be held every 4-6 weeks, including both local and travel meets.
