JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Early Head Start Teacher Location(s): Forrest County
Salary: $16.89 per hour
Work Hours: 7 hours/day
Work Year: 9-10 months/year
Responsibilities:
Develop, modify and adapt developmentally appropriate schedules, materials and activities to address the strengths and needs of all children; plan, coordinate, and execute a program of instruction for a group of infants and toddlers; provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their infant/toddler’s education; make home visits and conduct parent teacher conferences; develop and utilize lesson plans that integrate all Head Start/Early Head Start components, reflect home and culture influences and promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children; complete assessments on assigned infants/toddlers; maintain all classroom records/written reports to ensure maximum benefits to children and families; and other duties needed for the successful operation of the program. Must be able to lift at least 40 – 50 lbs. as needed. Must be able to bend kneel, crouch, stand on feet and sit on floor with children for extended periods of time without complications.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.

Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19. Must bring proof of vaccination to the interview if selected to interview.
Experience:
Must have at least one (2) years’ experience working in the classroom with preschool children at a licensed childcare facility.'
