Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include reviewing and interpreting insurance regulations, working with cross-functional teams to develop compliance plans and rate filings, and preparing documentation for regulatory agencies:
- Cooperate with business and actuarial sections to build, adjust, and sustain rate, policy, and form plans aimed at submission to the State Departments of Insurance.
- Ensure that the records related to the filings are accurately maintained and easily retrievable.
- Addressing objections to the filing is a key factor in obtaining approval in all targeted states.
- Provide aid in supporting market conduct examinations, which involves assisting in responding to any inquiries that may be raised during the process.
- Able to write policy formats, review State laws, and devise policy language for issuing and eventual submission.
- Collaboratively devise new coverage options with the product development team.
- Study regulatory releases to determine any implications for the filing of business reports and the creation of fresh offerings.
- Provide assistance to employees with filing-related questions or concerns, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Having prior exposure to the System for Electronic Rates & Forms Filing (SERFF) can be advantageous.
