Sodexo is seeking a Part -Time Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team at Vail Health in beautiful Vail, Colorado. Position will work part time ~24 hours per week with benefits.  Salary range for position is $25.00-$35.00 per hour


 


Vail Health includes a 56-bed hospital, accredited by The Joint Commission, is a Level III Trauma Center with a nearby helipad for necessary medical transports, urgent care clinics, cancer care, breast centers, cardiovascular services, surgery, childbirth, physical therapy, internal medicine, endocrinology, and more. The Registered Dietitian will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager. The ideal candidate will:



  • Have experience in a critical care setting and clinical specialties.

  • Be able to perform nutrition-focused physical exams, provide nutrition support recommendations and diet education as needed.



  • Monitor and evaluate patient care and outcomes on an ongoing basis

  • Participate in departmental, clinical, and other meetings related to areas of practice 

  • Utilize electronic medical records within the practice environment and be familiar with the Nutrition Care Process and Cerner Electronic System (preferred)

  • Have a strong focus on driving outstanding patient satisfaction results and driving process improvement activities.



  • Stay current with the scientific literature and help staff, patients, and families understand nutrition strategies to support and improve quality of life and clinic outcomes

  • Be an excellent communicator and has the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

  • Be able to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment

  • Be a Registered Dietitian, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

  • Advanced certifications, preferred

Position Summary


Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services including those for complex needs. Key Duties-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met. -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy. -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary. -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., -HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. -Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments. .


 



 


Qualifications & Requirements


Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree


Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitianSodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
