Required Knowledge and Skills :

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas :

  • Bringing together diverse talents in a wide range of areas, including financial, engineering, project, and risk management, to identify unique solutions across the full value chain of acquiring / financing, planning, designing, constructing / implementing, commissioning, and operating and maintaining complex capital projects and portfolios;

  • Identifying and addressing client needs, including communicating value propositions; developing and sustaining long-term client relationships with various organizations and executives;

  • and utilizing these client relationship networks to build work;

  • Building and leading a diverse team of highly motivated and talented professionals through business development efforts, engagement delivery, and other practice development initiatives;

  • Establishing and executing client projects, including managing resource requirements, project tasks and timelines, budgets, and billing.

Manage multiple projects concurrently; and,

Extensive working knowledge of technologies supporting efficient project delivery.

Preferred Knowledge / Skills :

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas :

Exhibiting thorough knowledge and understanding of project development, management and control techniques for complex, large dollar-value ($billion) capital projects across multiple clients and industries.

Specific focus on analytical methods and techniques related to "mega" projects and portfolios, including the following :

  • Conducting governance, controls and risk assessments;

  • Possessing previous experience working in a consulting environment;

  • Identifying project risks and mitigation measures in terms of project controls, project management performance, financial budgetary management, safety measures, and quality assurance;

  • Conducting construction cost assessments and other analyses; and,

  • Using technology as an enabler to improve project and portfolio performance, e.g. Cora PPM, Oracle / Primavera, Copperleaf, Digital Twin, BIM, AI / ML, and others.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities and / or knowledge of the key construction elements for industrial capital projects (e.

g., power plants, oil refineries, transmission and distribution systems, manufacturing plants, and other infrastructure assets).

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities and / or a proven knowledge of industry leading practices for construction project controls and project management, including identifying and implementing process improvements that can help clients achieve their business requirements.
