Job Description

The University of Nevada, Athletics department is recruiting for a part-time (48%) Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football. Coaches are primarily responsible for the coordination, preparation and implementation of the Strength and Conditioning program for football. This includes leading portions of team and individual training sessions designed to enhance athletic performance of student-athletes, preparing to meet the demands of specific practice methods and imparting strategies for competing. Assistant coaches assist the Head Strength Coach in the promotion of the philosophy and objectives of the athletic development program; to include adhering to and enforcing policies and procedures outlined in the departmental handbook as well as regulations of the University and the NCAA.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and one year of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a related field.

Related Experience: team coaching experience (note: some positions may require team coaching experience at an NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College or high school level)

Preferred Certification and Licensure (strongly encouraged)

Per NCAA rules, either SCCC Certification or CSCS Certification required
