What you will do:



Option to: Make our complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback “happy hour” and/or Hot Breakfast… well, happy for our guests

  • Ensure exceptional, positive experiences for our diverse team members and guests.

  • Oversee the 5:30 Kickback/Hot Breakfast for guests through food preparation and clean-up.

  • See to it that the kitchen and lobby area are clean and well organized.

  • Ensure that food safety standards are met and that supplies are fully stocked at appropriate levels.

  • Present and maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers.

  • Answer guests’ questions using your knowledge of the hotel, area, and events.

  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a +1 Service attitude.

  • Ability to speak and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English



BASIC FUNCTION & JOB DUTIES:




Under general supervision, prepare the 5:30 Kickback/Hot Breakfast and provide exceptional customer service for guests following Company policies and procedures. This includes maintaining the kitchen/lobby area in a clean, well-organized manner and assisting guests with Kickback service with food preparation and clean up, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Additional responsibilities include ensuring supplies are fully stocked at appropriate levels. Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers. Has general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer guests’ questions.



Ensures an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly guest service through discovering and responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints with a +1 Service Attitude. Contributes to maintaining a positive work environment at all times for our diverse team and guests.



GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:

Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English. Requires ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests to create a warm, comfortable, relaxing environment. Requires knowledge of hotel accommodations, the community, and hotel services. Requires ability to conduct accurate inventory of food items and calculate order levels.



MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill, and mental ability equivalent to completion of 2 years of high school.

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in working with the public or food service experience preferred, but not required.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Requires ability to walk and stand during the entire working period of 4 - 6 hours. Requires ability to lift 20 - 30 pounds intermittently during the work shift. Requires ability to push a vacuum and/or mop, reach, stretch, and bend in routine daily activities.



WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

1. Reports to General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

2. Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
