The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Assistant Director of Marketing who will serve as the primary marketing contact for the Florida Mens and Womens Basketball programs. The role will be responsible for creating comprehensive marketing plans including revenue generation via ticket sales, attendance driving initiatives, fan experience enhancement strategies, and brand awareness campaigns. The Assistant Director will also serve as the UAA liaison to the Rowdy Reptiles student group, have football gameday responsibilities, and support other sports/duties as assigned. This posting will remain open until a qualified candidate is chosen.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Sports Management, Marketing or a related field
  • Two years of related experience at the intercollegiate or professional level
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Photoshop
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team
  • Must be able to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
  • Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and potential overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of basketball marketing experience at the intercollegiate or professional level
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of SEC and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Experience with project management and social media
