Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Training will own the training and
learning vision, mission, strategy, goals and resulting execution to implement dynamic learning
systems that are integral to the success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the training department.
- Create, oversee, and execute the annual training timeline, regularly tracking, assessing,
and improving training key performance indicators across all priority areas including
diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to determine the greatest skill and
development needs of staff and develop targeted training content to address
- Design and implement learning and development programs, consistent with best
practice and innovative approaches
- Serve as the primary facilitator and training expert
- Align and develop resources to deliver on the training and leadership development
strategy (subject matter experts, team members, vendors, program budgets,
technologies, etc.)
- Develop the infrastructure for all learning and development programs by establishing
standardized methods and procedures for delivery, evaluation, measurement, and
reporting
- Develop assessments that measure learner outcomes including productivity
- Develop blended and scalable training solutions, evaluating both face-to-face, virtual,
and digital solutions, for delivery to staff and leaders throughout the organization,
making learning an unforgettable experience
- Collect and analyze data to continuously improve and expand leadership across the
organization as well as to address development needs for high-potential roles.
- Strengthen current partnerships through expanding nonviolence programming and
strategically develop new partnerships.
- Develop and maintain contacts and work collaboratively with institutions to leverage
existing training opportunities.
- Develop training budget and keep operations within budget.
- Supervise training team staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Commitment to the Institute’s mission and principles of nonviolence.
- 5- 7 years of demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and delivering
professional development programs required.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Forward-thinking experience in training, learning & development functions including all
stages of learning (analysis, design, development, delivery, evaluation)
- Experience to engage with people with group and virtual facilitation and/or training at
all levels of the organization.
- Excellent social, verbal, written, presentation skills
- Ability to develop and translate strategic goals into appropriate development and talent
programs that balance the evolving priorities of the organization.
- Knowledge of trauma informed services and implementation.
