Background & Purpose of the Job
One of the key technologies under iOps program is FEU, a Machine Learning-based forecasting engine that will ingest large volumes of internal and external data and use advanced ML and AI algorithms to generate Unilever’s volume forecast. The Forecast Operations Analyst forms an important bridge between the business users and the data science teams. The role is expected to translate the business problems into functional features that are resolved in partnership with the data science team.
The purpose of this role is to drive DC-level forecast improvement and issue resolutions around the forecasting process enabled by FEU, by interacting with:
Collaborate with L1/Grow teams- Local market SMEs and planning teams (Market Collaboration Planner & Category Demand Fulfillment)
Work with ML Ops and data science teams
Leverage FEU Design Teams (PACE, UniOps, I&A)
This role is accountable to manage across all categories and business groups.

You’re a strategy guru: Empowered to lead strategic agenda for improving our item-DC level forecast accuracy.
What You’ll Do
Manage and continually improve item site-level forecast accuracy as part of Forecast Analysts routines (daily, weekly, monthly)
Provide baselines forecast guidance to Business Facing teams as a critical starting input to monthly S&OP cycle
Understand forecast models for each individual unit, stress test on inputs and perform RCA for Issue
Work with Planning Excellence & Insights One Forecast (DP, S&OP, CD Planning) and Analytics & Insights teams to improve model selection and suggestion to upgrade features if required
Keep constant check on forecast quality and take proactive actions if the forecast quality declines
Investigation & working with ML Ops & Planners on RCA & service request management with ML Ops and L3 Data Science team

What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Operations / Supply Chain or equivalent experience
Relevant experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing or similar field (1A: 0 years, 1B: 1+years, 1C: 3+ years)
Empowerment, Experimentation and Collaboration a must
Strong relationship management and team leadership both internally and externally
Holding people accountable, developing self and others, breakthrough thinking, optimizing Supply Chain integrated performance, strategic vision and influencing
