  • Responsibilities* Under direction, provides professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and practices.


Oversees daily operations of the clinical area.


  • What you ll do:*
  • Assists Manager with staffing, team scheduling and ensuring coverage for clinic during all hours of operation (stays in weekend rotation if applicable).
  • Investigates problems and makes recommendation to the manager for resolutions.
  • Facilitates clinical department meetings.
  • Assists with the recruitment and team interview process.
  • Mentors new-hires.
  • Assists with coordination of and participates in orientation and staff development activities as requested.
  • Utilizes clinical staff to evaluate and determine priority situations.
  • Participates effectively as a lead-team member in the clinic being a resource and accountable to peers, providers and patients.
  • Assumes responsibility for implementing QA and core-competency guidelines within the clinic, as required.
  • Assists with implementing process changes or other duties as assigned to meet clinic goals.
  • Provides leadership to the clinical staff and is a liaison between the clinical staff and the clinic manager.
  • Oversees crash cart maintenance if applicable.
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional certifications/licensures.
  • May be a timekeeper.
  • Maintains practice standards in regards to quality improvement.
  • Assists in enforcing safety, OSHA, and blood borne pathogens regulations.
  • Assists with performance standards and evaluation of clinical staff.
  • Performs duties and functions of office nurse, maintains competencies of such.
  • Qualifications*
  • Minimum Qualifications:*
  • Current licensure as R.N., state of Iowa or compact state or LPN or CMA.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained by the end of the orientation period (approximately six (6) weeks).
