Diabetes Educator - Diabetes at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla, WA
$5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
The Clinical Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide patient focused nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; assuring customer needs and satisfaction are met and/or exceeded; managing resources in a cost effective manner; participating in performance improvement efforts; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.
Required qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related area granted by U.S. regionally accredited college or university.
* Coursework/Training: Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
* Required within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification Or
* Required within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Nutritionist Certification
* Required upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
Preferred qualifications:
* 3 years Clinical/related experience and/or master's degree in related field.
* Preferred upon hire: Certified Specialist in related field (CLE, CDE, CNSD, CS)
