The Position:
Judge Rotenberg Center presently seeks a part-time nutritionist to provide expertise in the areas of weight management, special diets, wellness, and communication with parents. General responsibilities are planning food and nutrition programs; inclusive of individualized meal planning. This may require establishment of short and long-term health goals for students/clients as well as educating the JRC community about health and nutrition. The ideal candidate would be expected to coordinate with JRC s medical team, programming and clinical services, and develop special nutritional programs specific for students/clients with dietary restrictions or requirements. Evaluative tools to measure programming efficacy are also be established by the nutritionist. This is a non-exempt, part-time, or consulting position that offers moderate scheduling flexibility across approximately two workdays.
Educational/Work History Requirements:
- Licensed as a Nutritionist in the state of Massachusetts.
- One to three years work experience with multi-handicapped individuals, a plus.
- Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
