The S.H.E Coordinator under the direction of the SHE Manager, is responsible for actions necessary in achieving Safety KPI's such as Safety F-Tag Closures, Investigation closures, and TRFR. This position will require focus on KPI tracking, reporting, and follow up. They will have to work with multiple stakeholders, including the Central Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee (CSHEC) to leverage the Safety Pillar in UMS performance and execution

What You'll Do:
  • Manage Safety KPI tracking within systems. Execute Follow up and close out of Safety Open items.
  • Lead the closure of investigations for safety incidents. Effectively and adamantly ensure action completion.
  • Implement safety processes as needed such as training, observations, and risk identification.
  • Completing actions with employees to reduce Safety incidents across departments
  • Complete Monthly/Weekly Reporting for site review & UL compliance
  • Contribute to loss tree development and projects. Required to participate and lead Kaizan projects that support site SHE improvements.
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of Safety Programs through CSHEC. IE: LOTO, Safety Training, Chemical Training, Risk Assessments. Own and drive two programs entirely.
  • Execute SHE training through the SHE training plan and develop/training material for online and interactive training opportunities.
  • Assist with orientation and training as needed for new manufacturing personnel for both On and Off the floor.
  • Own PPE management, including ordering, budget management, and maintaining an organized and efficient system
  • Own documentation management, including retention, location, and maintaining an organized and efficient system.
  • Lead program management, and document review. Including Compliance Calendar
  • Complete additional duties designated by department supervisor
  • Referral of employee performance or behavior matters to the department supervisor
  • All other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Previous Factory operations experience
  • Proven leadership and communication skills; able build and motivate the team, as well as coach it to success
  • Ability to understand documentation in the manufacturing process
  • Strong math and computer-based skills (MS Word and Excel required)
  • Able to communicate and work effectively with multiple departments, and the corresponding leaders for those departments
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. individually
