Overview

Reporting to the clinical site manager the Medical Assistant Supervisor works under the Clinic Manager to assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. This position assists the manager in training new staff. The Medical Assistant Supervisor works as part of the health care team to provide comprehensive care in a non-judgmental mannerand leads the daily activities of the clinic and clinical staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Oversee work - flow from reception, lab station, tech station to clinical areas

Provide back up support for the medical assistant team, which includes all functions of a medical assistant

Maintain inventory of medical and non-medical supplies for site to include, but not limited to compiling and submitting requests to Site manager

Assist in the supervision of work and performance of clinic staff including reception, MA's and other support staff, as instructed, including input for performance reviews and corrective action plans as needed

Assist with clinic scheduling problem solving, patient wait times, and other areas of concern to increase efficient and quality services

Oversee and train new and existing staff along with the clinic manager

Ensure office equipment is operable and notify Tech Support and Site Manager of any service issues as necessary

Process and prepare weekly deposit for courier service

Responsible to scanning and uploading patient records

Maintain Safe & Sound, Cash out documentation

Attend meetings and in-service trainings

Ensure daily lab manifest is generated and specimen dispatch report is sent

Performs other duties as assigned by management

Experience & Education

Associates Degree or 2 years managerial related experience

Certification/Registrationas Medical Assistant

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Completion of medical assistant training program required

Must have proficient computer skills (Microsoft word, excel)

Minimum of one - year experience in an outpatient medical clinic or hospital as a supervisor

Hourly Rate: $24 - $28 per hour
