Overview


Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for aStandards Development Leader.In this position, you would be a key part of the Standards Development Group which supports market access for our products and differentiation for Lutron. A successful team member in this role will work collaboratively internally and externally to drive the creation of standards that benefit Lutron customers, business and the lighting control industry as a whole.


You will develop a working knowledge of Lutron products through cross-functional projects to prepare Lutron for changing standards. You will gain insight across Lutron s businesses, operations, and engineering in developing strategies to advocate for customer and quality concerns in negotiating standards language. Each day will hold a variety of responsibilities including technical writing and communication, project management, and strategic planning


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop positions for new standards and regulations with Lutron businesses and engineering teams
  • Educate internal stakeholders on new and changing standards and regulations.
  • Grow Lutron s leadership in key industry and professional associations such as the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Lighting Europe, Global Lighting Association (GLA), and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
  • Develop key relationships with standards development organization and regulators.
  • Actively investigate trends and ensure that we continue to develop the right solutions for the market and are positioned to maximize business impact

Qualifications


  • BS/BA degree with 3.0 GPA
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a technical field with some exposure to standards and/or regulatory development.
  • Willingness to travel to industry committee meetings.
