Job Summary
Operations Manager is responsible for all daily operations of the redistribution center’s warehouse at RJ Schinner.
Job Duties
Oversee all daily activities assist/support supervisor(s) to ensure policies and procedures are being followed
Oversee all planning, staffing, operation and direction of Redistribution Center
Oversee with supervisor(s) the evaluation of all warehouse employees
Establish an appropriate rapport with customers, vendors and delivery drivers
Oversee accuracy of all in-bound shipments. Checks supplier’s counts and reports discrepancies to carrier and supervisor.
Oversee other shipping records such as returned merchandise, damage, discrepancies, etc.
Oversee with supervisor(s) for the care in handling merchandise.
Oversee to make sure that operations and safety check, (including battery, brakes & lift controls), on all powered industrial trucks are being performed.
Recommend equipment needs and repairs
Responsible for oversight of inventory levels with system cycle counts against physical counts.
Responsible for making sure checks are scanned and deposited.
Transport merchandise from daily inbound receipts to appropriate locations
Replenish warehouse pick locations to capacity
Load outbound carriers- Oversee the organization and cleanliness of warehouse
Oversee that at day’s end, the return of electric equipment to charging station, and prepares equipment for daily (overnight) charge
Provide training on processes and procedures
Communicate business plans and departmental goals and objectives
Monthly duties include but are not limited to: turning in of expense reports for you and drivers, making sure petty cash is reconciled, Open orders are dealt with, review of cycle count report, review operations summary numbers, making sure encompass is filled out accurately, and making sure all new employees have proper training.
Promote and enforce workplace safety procedures and measures for your department/branch, including immediately documenting and reporting any unsafe acts, conditions, or accident.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years warehouse experience or equivalent
Strong interpersonal skills
High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self or others
Significant inventory control and SKU management exposure
Ability to perform light to heavy physical tasks; able to lift 50 lbs. safely
Ability to interface with all levels within the organization
Eclipse Warehouse Management System background a plus
Ability to proficiently operate a variety of powered industrial trucks, and able to complete in-house forklift & safety program
Must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly
